Learning Story — Arwa
Hi, I am Arwa, a Crochet Artist. I started working with crochets almost 5 years ago. Back then I casually tried to learn a new art. Watching my mom make topis for Bohri men, I thought of giving it a try.
As days passed I developed an interest in it. I started learning lots of new techniques almost every day. Crochet was on my mind most of the time. I would sit with a hook and yarn literally whenever I got time. Though I take some time to finalize a pattern and other details, the very thought of crochet and an idea of making something new always excites me.
Interestingly, when I look back, I realize that I just enjoyed the whole process and had never thought of selling it for a very long time. So five years down the line, here I am, enthusiastically crazy about crochet. I have now started selling a few of my creations like soft toys, doll replicas, purses, keychains, cartoon characters, a variety of flowers, appliques, festive gifting items, and other things that I make with love and passion. It took me some time to reach out to my first few customers, but it eventually paid off. I am happy that what I am passionate about gives me monetary value as well.
I am still on a journey. Still learning and growing. I am looking forward to 2020 with great excitement as I have already taken some interesting projects. I just can’t wait to convert my client’s imagination into my products.
